We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join a college HR team, providing advice and support to managers across employee relations, HR policies and workforce management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence matters.
- Advise managers on employment legislation, HR policies and procedures.
- Support organisational change, consultations and redundancy processes.
- Assist with recruitment, performance management, probation and workforce reporting.
- Support payroll, contractual changes and HR policy development.
- Liaise with trade unions and external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with confidentiality, data protection and safeguarding requirements.
Requirements
- Previous HR Advisor experience with strong employee relations knowledge.
- Sound understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience with recruitment, payroll and HR systems.
- Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
- CIPD membership or progress towards Chartered status is desirable.
- Further education or wider education sector experience is advantageous.
