We are seeking a passionate and experienced Music Teacher to join our secondary school team, teaching Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5 students. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop their musical knowledge, skills, and creativity, fostering engagement and achievement across all abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality music lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5, including curriculum planning and assessment
- Prepare students for examinations, performances, and recitals
- Encourage creativity, confidence, and enjoyment of music
- Support extra-curricular music activities, ensembles, and school events
- Monitor and report on student progress
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning
Essential Skills & Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Music across KS3, KS4, and KS5
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities
- Passionate about music and extra-curricular opportunities
Desirable
- Experience with a variety of instruments and styles
- Experience running school ensembles or choirs
- Knowledge of GCSE / A-Level Music specifications
