An exciting opportunity has opened for a dedicated Plumbing Lecturer to join an FE college and deliver high-quality training across Entry to Level 3 programmes for learners aged 14-19 and adults.

In this role, you will teach and assess learners both on campus and in workplace settings, support curriculum development, and work closely with employers, awarding bodies, and internal teams to ensure an outstanding learning experience. What You'll Do

  • Teach and assess accredited Plumbing qualifications, delivering engaging, skills-focused training that supports learner achievement.
  • Design flexible training programmes, schemes of work, and assessment plans aligned with industry and awarding-body requirements.
  • Act as a key link between the college, employers, and awarding bodies, ensuring standards and compliance are consistently met.
  • Support learners with diagnostic assessments, individual learning plans, feedback, and regular progress reviews.
  • Maintain accurate records, contribute to quality assurance processes, and participate in course reviews and inspections.
  • Promote the Plumbing provision to employers and external partners, helping shape and develop future curriculum needs.

What We're Looking For

  • A recognised teaching qualification (DTLLS, PGCE, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
  • Qualified Plumber with industry experience.
  • A1 Assessor Award (V1 desirable).
  • Experience delivering Plumbing training or assessing vocational learners.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to design effective learning and assessment materials.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and high-quality teaching standards.
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach when working with employers and stakeholders.
