A fantastic opportunity has opened for passionate and motivated Health & Social Care Lecturers to join a thriving FE department delivering high-quality teaching to 16-19 and adult learners from Entry Level to Level 3. The Role

  • Deliver engaging, student-centred lessons across Entry Level to Level 3 Health & Social Care courses.
  • Act as a personal tutor, providing academic and pastoral support, tracking progress and achievement.
  • Lead on course coordination, team meetings, curriculum development, placement supervision and assessment.
  • Prepare schemes of work, learning materials, exam/assessment documentation and maintain accurate student records.
  • Work with awarding bodies, external verifiers, exams staff, employers and placement providers.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
  • Contribute to course reviews, quality processes, team planning and college-wide initiatives.
  • Support learners into meaningful placements, employment and further study.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience teaching or training in Health & Social Care within FE or a similar setting.
  • Strong sector knowledge and the ability to create engaging, innovative learning resources.
  • A supportive, student-focused approach and awareness of pastoral needs.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication and organisational skills.
  • A Health & Social Care qualification (essential).
  • A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
  • Assessor/Verifier awards are desirable.
  • Experience supporting learners in work placements is highly valuable.
