Are you a passionate and innovative creative professional with a desire to inspire the next generation of digital creators? We are seeking a highly motivated Creative Media / Games Design Lecturer to deliver engaging and industry-relevant lessons to young adults, supporting them to develop the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to succeed in the creative industries.

The Role

You will plan and deliver dynamic, hands-on lessons that inspire learners and support their progression into further education or employment. Working within a supportive team, you’ll play a key role in shaping an engaging curriculum aligned with industry practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to learner needs and interests
  • Monitor and track learner progress, maintaining accurate records (Arbor MIS & Google Sheets)
  • Provide high-quality feedback and use a range of assessment methods
  • Conduct regular one-to-one tutorials and create individual learning plans
  • Support learner wellbeing, safeguarding, and attendance
  • Contribute to enrichment activities, trips, and guest speaker events
  • Collaborate across departments on innovative creative projects
  • Prepare learners for end-of-year assessments and projects
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour, engagement, and achievement

Essential Requirements

  • GCSE Maths & English (Grade 4/C or equivalent)
  • Degree or relevant qualification in a related subject
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workload effectively
  • Excellent teaching, communication, and classroom management skills
  • Understanding of the Ofsted framework
  • Ability to analyse and respond to learner data trends
  • A proactive, solution-focused mindset
  • Empathy and commitment to supporting learners from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds
  • Ambition to drive high standards and achieve targets
  • Visual scripting/programming knowledge

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere)
  • Knowledge of 3D software (Autodesk Maya, Blender – modelling, rigging, animation)
  • Experience with game engines (Unity / Unreal Engine pipelines)
  • Background in a creative industry or freelance/entrepreneurial work
  • Strong drawing and artistic skills
