We are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager to support the leadership of a busy early years setting. This is a hands-on role, deputising for the Nursery Manager and helping to deliver high-quality childcare and education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in day-to-day running of the setting, ensuring compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, and health & safety standards
  • Support and lead the staff team, including mentoring, training, and performance monitoring
  • Deputise for the Manager, taking responsibility for operations in their absence
  • Assist with operational tasks, budget monitoring, and occupancy management
  • Engage with parents and external professionals to maintain high standards of service

Requirements

  • Previous experience in early years leadership (Deputy or Room Leader experience preferred)
  • Strong organisational, communication, and team management skills
  • Knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and childcare legislation
