We are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager to support the leadership of a busy early years setting. This is a hands-on role, deputising for the Nursery Manager and helping to deliver high-quality childcare and education.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in day-to-day running of the setting, ensuring compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, and health & safety standards
- Support and lead the staff team, including mentoring, training, and performance monitoring
- Deputise for the Manager, taking responsibility for operations in their absence
- Assist with operational tasks, budget monitoring, and occupancy management
- Engage with parents and external professionals to maintain high standards of service
Requirements
- Previous experience in early years leadership (Deputy or Room Leader experience preferred)
- Strong organisational, communication, and team management skills
- Knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and childcare legislation
