Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with SEND?


We are currently recruiting for a fantastic mainstream secondary school in the Bromley area, offering an exciting opportunity for a dedicated LSA to join a supportive and welcoming environment from September 2026.


The Role You will provide tailored support to pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them access learning both inside and outside the classroom.


You will work closely with teachers and the wider SEND team to provide personalised support, encourage communication and independence, and help pupils engage positively with their education.


Some pupils may be pre-verbal or non-verbal, so experience supporting pupils with complex communication needs would be highly desirable.


Key Responsibilities



  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEND.

  • Support pupils to access the curriculum and participate in lessons.

  • Work alongside teachers and the SEND team to provide personalised support.

  • Encourage communication, independence and positive behaviour.

  • Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.

  • Support pupils both inside and outside the classroom.


We're Looking For



  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND.

  • Experience working with pre-verbal or non-verbal pupils is highly desirable.

  • Experience within a mainstream secondary school is beneficial.

  • A patient, nurturing and positive approach.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • The ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.

  • A genuine passion for helping young people reach their full potential.
