Education Matters is currently recruiting a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Bethnal Green from September 2026.

Whether you're an experienced Key Stage 1 Teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to begin your teaching journey, this is an excellent opportunity to join a school that is committed to delivering high-quality education while supporting the professional development of its staff.

The Role

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum.
  • Create a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where every child can thrive.
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupils' progress, adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs.
  • Foster children's confidence, independence, and love of learning.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour, safeguarding, and classroom management.
  • The Ideal Candidate
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching within a UK primary school, ideally in Key Stage 1 (ECT placements are welcomed).
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A nurturing and enthusiastic approach to teaching young learners.
  • A commitment to creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
