The Food Tech Department

You’ll teach in a recently upgraded Food Technology suite, guiding students through cooking, nutrition, hygiene, and cultural cuisines. The school places a strong emphasis on healthy living and practical independence, and your work will make a direct impact on students' daily lives.

Your Role

  • Deliver engaging and structured lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Teach practical cookery alongside theory on nutrition and sustainability
  • Contribute to school events, such as cooking competitions and themed days
  • Work alongside supportive DT colleagues and your assigned ECT mentor

Requirements

  • Degree in Food Technology or related subject
  • PGCE with QTS (or working toward this by July 2026)
  • Passion for food education and inclusive, hands-on learning
