We are currently supporting a well-established college in appointing a Pastoral Tutor with a background in Business and BTEC. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students studying vocational construction courses, helping them to stay engaged, motivated, and on track to achieve their goals.

Part time (3 days per week) £130 per day

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide pastoral support to students within the construction department
  • Support behaviour, attendance, and student engagement
  • Deliver one-to-one and group support sessions
  • Work closely with teaching staff to support learner progress
  • Monitor and track student development and wellbeing
  • Support students with barriers to learning and promote positive outcomes

Person Specification:

  • Experience or background in Business and BTEC
  • Experience working with young people in an education, mentoring, or support role
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • A proactive, empathetic, and resilient approach
  • Understanding of safeguarding and student wellbeing
