We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic DT Technician to join a supportive Design & Technology department in Stanmore. This role has become available following a period of departmental review, and we are now looking for the right technician to support staff and students in practical DT activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing materials and resources for DT lessons, including Resistant Materials/Woodwork projects
  • Operating and maintaining workshop machinery safely
  • Supporting teachers and students during practical lessons
  • Ensuring all health & safety procedures are followed in the workshop
  • Assisting with the setup and tidying of workshops and storage areas

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience as a DT Technician, DT Teacher, or a background as a Carpenter/Joiner with practical machinery skills
  • Strong knowledge of Resistant Materials and workshop safety procedures
  • Ability to work independently and support students in a practical learning environment
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, reliable approach
