A welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Greenwich is seeking an enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher to join its creative and forward-thinking department from September. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher to inspire students through practical, engaging lessons that develop creativity, problem-solving skills, and technical knowledge.

The Role as a Design Technology Teacher, you will:

  • Teach Design Technology across Key Stages 3 & 4
  • Plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons that encourage creativity, innovation, and independent thinking
  • Teach a broad range of Design Technology disciplines, depending on your specialism (Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, Engineering, or CAD/CAM)
  • Support students' academic progress and wellbeing as a Form Tutor
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, using data to inform planning and interventions
  • Contribute to curriculum development, resource planning, and the continued success of the Design Technology department
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and inspiring workshop environment, ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed

We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A degree in Design Technology, Engineering, Product Design, or a related subject
  • Experience teaching Design Technology at KS3 and KS4 (ECTs are welcome to apply)
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging practical lessons
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • A passion for creativity, innovation, and inspiring young people
