We are currently supporting a secondary school in their search for an enthusiastic and talented Dance Teacher to join their team from September for the full academic year. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students through dance and creativity.
The successful candidate must be confident teaching Dance to GCSE level. The ability to teach a second subject, ideally Geography or History, would be highly advantageous and could lead to a full-time timetable for the right individual.
The Role
- Teach Dance across Key Stages 3 and 4, including GCSE Dance.
- Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive, and practical lessons that inspire creativity and performance.
- Prepare students for assessments and examinations, supporting them to achieve their full potential.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities, performances, and school productions where appropriate.
- Teach a second subject, ideally Geography or History, if able.
- Monitor and assess student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Create a positive and well-managed learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching Dance within a secondary school setting.
- Must be able to teach GCSE Dance confidently.
- Can teach Geography or History as a second subject (desirable).
- Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Is enthusiastic, creative, and passionate about the performing arts.
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Is committed to securing positive outcomes for all learners.
