Responsibilities

Governors are responsible for supporting and challenging school leaders, monitoring educational performance, overseeing key aspects of school governance, and helping to ensure that the school provides the best possible outcomes for all pupils.

What we are looking for

We currently have a number of vacancies in schools across our trust. We welcome applications from individuals from all backgrounds and sectors. Previous governance experience is not essential, as training and support will be provided. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Education and school improvement
  • Finance, audit or risk management
  • Human resources and organisational development
  • Legal and compliance
  • Estates, property or facilities management
  • Digital technology and cyber security
  • Marketing, communications or public relations
  • Business leadership and strategic planning
  • Community engagement and partnership working
