The Director of Student Services will play a central role in ensuring that all students across the EFI education group are fully supported, safe, and equipped to thrive. Responsible for the full spectrum of student support services (excluding direct teaching), the postholder will lead safeguarding, wellbeing, SEND, learning and teaching support, careers, and enrichment. The Director of Student Services will act as a key enabler of positive student outcomes, embedding inclusion, aspiration, and professional growth into the learner journey.
Spanning Levels 2 to 7 across three campuses (FRA, LCBT, EFI), the Director will also collaborate with curriculum, operations, and digital leaders, acting as Operational Designated Safeguarding Lead (ODSL) to uphold high standards of safety and compliance with relevant legal and policy frameworks.
About you
- Qualifications: DSL or DDSL qualification (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience: Extensive leadership experience in student support, safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusion within education, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively, manage SEND and EHCP processes, and provide high-quality support for neurodiverse learners.
- Expertise: In-depth understanding of safeguarding requirements, statutory responsibilities and best practice frameworks.
- Passion: Confident communicator with excellent people skills and the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels and committed to driving positive student outcomes.
