EF (Education First) Torquay Summer School is looking for a friendly, empathetic and customer-focused individual to join our team as Student Experience Manager for summer 2026.
Position Details:
- Full-time
- 5 days a week
- Fixed-term contract between June – August 2026
- Accommodation available if necessary
In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for students and staff, ensuring a welcoming, engaging and well-run summer school experience. You’ll help create a supportive and vibrant environment for international students, all while developing valuable skills in communication and operations. Responsibilities:
- To provide outstanding customer service
- To support students in their daily life and enable them to achieve the best experience and highest learning possible
- To maintain excellent relationships with sales colleagues, giving prompt, consistent service
- Participates in student intakes, including preparing welcome bags and producing student identification badges
- Deals with general daily student enquiries
- Provides support to the Student Services team regarding student attendance; monitoring and recording daily registers, following up with non-attending students
- Assist with student satisfaction follow ups as and when required
- Checks and accepts delivery of school supplies
- Issues new staff with name badges and helps maintain school noticeboards
- Ensures reception area is kept clean, tidy & professional looking at all times
- Shares emergency duty on a rota basis
Requirements:
- Highly motivated, energetic, positive
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Confident with IT
- Enjoys working in a busy & varied service environment
- Highly organised with attention to detail
- Ability to handle difficult situations with ease & remain calm & positive under pressure
- Flexible attitude to work and creative problem solver
- Fluent in English
