EF (Education First) Oxford International Language Campus is seeking empathetic, organised and responsible Residence Assistant Leads for summer 2026.
Position Details:
- Full-time; temporary role starting in June/July 2026
- Day shifts, hourly paid role, hours may vary, 5-6 days per week, weekend availability
- Live-In required with half board provided
- Residence emergency phone duty

Responsibilities:
- To assist the Residence Manager ensuring weekends are well planned and run smoothly with lots of energy and welcoming
- To organize the work process / delegate duties between residential assistants, including creating rotas
- To assist with weekend reception duties overseeing arrivals and departures from residence accommodation
- To prepare arrival & departure documents for residential assistants on duty at weekend
- To ensure standards of rooms and quality of services are maintained by conducting weekly building checks, checking and updating posters and signs when appropriate
- To assist with curfew and ensuring under 18 students are in their rooms by assigned time
- To assist students with general enquiries and take appropriate action in the event of student misconduct, addressing concerns with relevant school staff
- To ensure safeguarding procedures are in place and concerns are shared with relevant school staff
- To follow EF procedures and take responsibility for fire safety in the event of alarms by receiving training in operating fire alarm system, familiarising self with evacuation procedures, and always acting appropriately in the event of a fire or alarm
- To ensure communication between day and night staff during the weekend is effective and followed up
- To support security team when required
- To assist with emergency phones when required ensuring teamwork
- To attend regular staff meetings and adhere to the Residence Assistant Code of Conduct
Requirements:
- Must be a team player that can lead from the front, be outgoing and have great attention to detail
- Previous experience in a customer service environment, ideally working with young people and strong emotional intelligence
- You should be passionate about customer service and providing quality
- Ability to work under pressure and in a high paced environment
- In terms of mindset, we all have a ‘going above and beyond, never settling for the status quo' mentality
- Fluent in English
- All offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references
- Right to work in the UK upon commencement of your contract
