EF Manchester International Language Campus is looking for a responsible and culturally intelligent Residence Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you’ll help create a welcoming and secure environment where international students feel at home, supported and part of a vibrant community throughout their studies.
Position Details:
- Full-time
- 5 days a week, with one weekend work day (weekend work days on a rota)
- ASAP start date
- Accommodation provided if needed

Responsibilities:
- Meeting and greeting new students on arrival and informing them of rules
- Assisting with checking in & taking students to rooms
- Maintain safe and comfortable environment by taking appropriate action in the event of student misconduct, addressing concerns with relevant school staff
- Undertake provided basic first aid training and be ready to give appropriate assistance where required or contact medical/emergency services where necessary
- Ensure standards of rooms and quality of services are maintained by conducting weekly building and room checks using provided tool/form
- Carry out nightly curfew checks for under 18s on rotation
- Assisting students with problems and queries
- Manage and report welfare issues relating to students in residence
- Take responsibility for fire safety and familiarise self with evacuation procedures
- Ensuring that residence rules are being adhered to and report all issues to residence manager
- Participate in regular emergency phone duty as per rota
- Promote and run activities for residence students
- Reminding departing students of leaving date & procedures
Requirements:
- Be welcoming, kind, and caring when dealing with the students
- Assist with all arrivals and departures of students from the residences
- Distribute student keys and all relevant information to the students upon arrival
- Ensure rooms are cleaned before arrival and after departure
- Coordinate room checks every night at curfew for the students to ensure students are safely in the residence
- Maintain the appearance and functionality of the residences by keeping an organized and clean work area
- Assist students with any questions, concerns, needs, or issues they may have regarding the residence or residence related situations
- Keep the residence manager informed of the residence availability, any changes of student rooms within the residence, or any other relevant information
- Liaise with the customer support team and the Residence Manager to ensure all residence related issues with students are dealt with and handled effectively
- Assist with any meal distribution that may happen at the residence
- Monitor the safety and well-being of the facilities, rooms, and residence itself. Contact the Residence Manager with any problems regarding these entities
- Inform the students of all residence related rules
- Manage the set-up and operation of resident related activities for the residential students
- Inform the welfare team or Residence Manager if there is an issue related to a student that involves safeguarding concerns
- Shares emergency-phone duties with other school staff
