Your Role
Tasked with being in charge of the onsite residence staff; you will create a home from home environment for our international students by assisting your residence leaders in guiding their groups from the unfamiliar to the unforgettable. If you are looking for a hectic yet sociable, fun yet challenging work environment, we would love to hear from you. After a summer of working as a Residence Manager, you will leave having created truly amazing memories for your students and will have managed a team of international staff. You will expand your organisational skills to ensure the room allocations are maximised and that our logistics systems are up to date.
Responsibilities
- Working with the summer management team to deliver an exceptional experience to our students.
- A live-in position that sees you having the overall responsibility for a hotel/residence and the students/staff who are staying there.
- You will manage room assignments, coordinate arrivals and departures, and ensure a seamless experience for our students.
- You will liaise with residence owners and staff on anything from cleaning, maintenance, to theme events and safety.
Requirements
- A flexible approach to hours of work undertaken is essential.
- Experience of managing or leading a team desirable.
- Highly motivated, energetic, positive.
- Customer service orientated, friendly & approachable manner.
- Able to remain calm under pressure & to diffuse potentially difficult situations.
- Sensitive to needs of international students living away from home.
- Excellent communicator with students, colleagues, and external clients.
- Attention to detail, organized & thorough.
