As an FP&A Analyst / Senior FP&A Analyst with EF English Live, you will be part of a small, highly commercial finance team supporting the world's largest online English School. In this role, you will support strategic decision-making while also running day-to-day operational finance functions. Success in the role will require working closely with both senior management and various business stakeholders, taking full ownership of core financial processes, and proactively identifying opportunities for improvement. The role offers significant room for growth, and your progression is largely driven by you.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Planning & Analysis: Support the budgeting process, forecasting, and variance analysis to provide actionable insights to business leaders.
- Sales & Marketing Partnership: Partner closely with the sales and marketing teams to track performance, evaluate market opportunities, and support commercial decision-making.
- Accounting Collaboration: Work closely with accounting teams across multiple countries to make sure financial guidelines are followed, ensure data accuracy, and standardize financial reporting practices.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, supporting statutory closes, external audits, and performance tracking. Additionally, handle internal tasks such as calculating commissions and accruals, cost allocations, and other financial processes.
- Revenue & Cost Management: Monitor revenue streams and cost structures, identifying opportunities for optimization.
- Data Analytics & Technology: Leverage Excel, Salesforce and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau) to extract and analyse data, develop dashboards, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Process Improvement: Drive efficiency and automation in financial operations, ensuring strong financial controls and compliance.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience: 1-3 years in financial analysis, business controlling, accounting or consulting. Exposure to financial planning, forecasting, and process automation is a plus.
- Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to extract complex data into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions required) and experience with Salesforce, Oracle, Tableau, or other analytics tools is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across teams and functions.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic business setting.
- Entrepreneurial, proactive, and capable of working independently while thriving in a team environment.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
