About the Role
As Assistant Headteacher, you will play a key role in the strategic and operational leadership of the school. You will support the Headteacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning, developing staff, and promoting a positive school culture. Key Responsibilities
- Support the Headteacher in the leadership and management of the school
- Lead on teaching, learning, and curriculum development
- Drive pupil attainment, progress, and achievement
- Support staff development, coaching, and performance management
- Monitor teaching standards and promote best practice across the school
- Lead whole-school improvement initiatives
- Promote inclusion, safeguarding, attendance, and pupil wellbeing
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, governors, and external agencies
- Contribute to strategic planning and school self-evaluation
About You
We are looking for an Assistant Headteacher who has:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Significant experience within a Primary School setting
- Previous leadership experience as an Assistant Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, Phase Leader, KS1 Lead, KS2 Lead, or Senior Teacher
- A proven track record of raising standards and improving pupil outcomes
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
- Strong understanding of curriculum development and assessment
- A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
- The ability to inspire, motivate, and develop staff and pupils
