Education First is looking for a reliable, organised and experienced School Administrator to join a secondary school in Southwark. This is a full-time opportunity working Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, with an immediate start available. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day administration of the school and help ensure the school office operates efficiently.
The Role
- Managing the day-to-day administration of the school office
- Using Arbor to maintain and update pupil records
- Managing attendance and pupil information
- Answering telephone calls and responding to emails
- Welcoming visitors, parents, pupils and staff
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Supporting pupil registrations and admissions
- Preparing letters, reports and school correspondence
- Liaising with parents, carers, staff and external professionals
- Maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive information
- Supporting the wider school team with general administration
- Following school policies and safeguarding procedures
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working in a school or education setting
- Experience using Arbor or a similar school management system
- Strong administration and organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- A professional and approachable manner
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment
- A commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
Previous experience within a secondary school environment would be desirable.
