Education First is looking for a reliable, organised and experienced School Administrator to join a welcoming primary school in Barking & Dagenham.

This is a full-time opportunity, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, with an immediate start available.

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the school's day-to-day administration and ensuring the school office operates efficiently.

The Role

  • Managing the day-to-day administration of the school office
  • Using Arbor to maintain and update pupil records
  • Managing attendance and pupil information
  • Answering telephone calls and responding to emails
  • Welcoming visitors, parents and pupils to the school
  • Assisting with admissions and pupil registrations
  • Supporting the school with correspondence and general administration
  • Liaising with parents, carers, teachers and external professionals
  • Preparing letters, reports and other school documentation

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience working in a school or education setting
  • Experience using Arbor or a similar school management information system
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing deadlines
  • A commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team

Experience within a primary school environment would be highly desirable.
