Education First is looking for a reliable, organised and experienced School Administrator to join an SEN school in Lewisham. This is a full-time opportunity working Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm, with a one-hour lunch break and an immediate start available.

The successful candidate will support the day-to-day administration of the school and help ensure the school office operates efficiently.

The Role

  • Managing the day-to-day administration of the school office
  • Using SIMS to maintain and update pupil records
  • Managing attendance and pupil information
  • Answering telephone calls and responding to emails
  • Welcoming visitors, parents, pupils and staff
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Supporting pupil registrations and admissions
  • Preparing letters, reports and school correspondence
  • Liaising with parents, carers, staff and external professionals
  • Maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive information
  • Supporting the wider school team with general administration
  • Following school policies and safeguarding procedures

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience working in a school or education setting
  • Experience using SIMS or a similar school management system
  • Strong administration and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • A professional and approachable manner
  • Strong attention to detail
  • The ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment
  • A commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team

Experience working within an SEN or specialist education setting would be desirable, although candidates with strong school administration experience are encouraged to apply.
