We are recruiting for a specialist SEN school in Camden that supports children and young people aged 5–16 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), alongside additional needs including ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs), and associated learning difficulties. The Role

As a SEND Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, differentiated, and personalised lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). You will work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, Therapists, and Pastoral Teams to ensure every student receives the support they need to achieve both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons
  • Support pupils with SEND, ASC, ADHD, and SEMH needs
  • Develop personalised learning programmes aligned with EHCP outcomes
  • Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Work collaboratively with parents, carers, therapists, and external agencies
  • Contribute to annual reviews and multi-agency meetings

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching within Primary, Secondary, SEN, SEND, SEMH, or Alternative Provision settings
  • Strong understanding of Autism, ADHD, and additional learning needs
  • Excellent classroom management and behaviour support skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and families
  • Passion for inclusive education and supporting vulnerable learners
