We are currently seeking to represent an experienced SEMH teacher for an interim teaching job in Staffordshire, West Midlands (ST10 3ER). If you are a SEND (SEMH) specialist who is available immediately or from Easter 2026, we would be keen to speak with you. If you are an experienced teacher who has worked with SEND (SEMH) across either primary or secondary phases this role may be for you.

The role is offered as an interim, full-time post based at a small, well established alternative provision school. Typically, the site caters for pupils aged 7-17 with SEND requirements such as SEMH and ASD. A tour of the site and an informal meeting with the Head of School can be arranged. This site is part of a national trust who are focussed on supporting children with complex behaviours and needs. Their pupils have experienced trauma and adverse childhood experiences, and they work closely with them to develop self-belief to become effective learners. If you are of a similar mindset and ethos, we would be very happy to discuss the role in more detail.

In order to be successfully shortlisted in any of your applications with us we will require the following:

  • A relevant UK based teaching and/or leadership qualification.
  • Substantial experience working with pupils with SEND within an education setting.
  • All required documents for safer recruitment processing including, but not limited to a valid right to work proof and a valid Enhanced DBS.
  • Exceptional references.

Once shortlisted, a one-to-one interview will be scheduled with your dedicated consultant to discuss your experience and personal requirements. You will be provided with advice and guidance in relation to your requirements that respect your home and work life balance. You will work solely with your consultant throughout your registration journey and beyond, always having direct access to speak with them on a one-to-one basis.

Proposed start date: Immediate or Easter 2026

Salary: Dependant on experience (£200 to £250 per day)
