We are currently seeking to represent an experienced SEND specialist teacher for a long term, temporary teaching job in Coventry, West Midlands (CV3). If you are a SEND (SEMH) specialist who is available immediately or from February 2026, we would be keen to speak with you. If you are an experienced teacher who has worked with SEND (SEMH) across secondary education this role may be for you.

The role is offered as a full-time, long-term teaching job based at a small, alternative provision school. An interim contract can be negotiated in the first instance, and we may be able to offer a permanent appointment for the right candidate. Typically, the site caters for pupils from early years up to vocational levels with SEND requirements and the school site is small (5-6 pupils presently). A tour of the site and an informal meeting with the Director of Education can be arranged.

This site is part of a small but growing trust who are focussed on supporting children with complex behaviours and needs. Their pupils have experienced trauma and adverse childhood experiences, and they work closely with them to develop self-belief to become effective learners. If you are of a similar mindset and ethos, we would be very happy to discuss the role in more detail.

In order to be successfully shortlisted in any of your applications with us we will require the following:

  • A relevant UK based teaching and/or leadership qualification.
  • Substantial experience working with pupils with SEND within an education setting.
  • All required documents for safer recruitment processing including, but not limited to a valid right to work proof and a valid Enhanced DBS.
  • Exceptional references.

All applicants are subject to online searching checks as part of our commitment to safer recruitment. Once shortlisted, a one-to-one interview will be scheduled with your dedicated consultant to discuss your experience and personal requirements. You will be provided with advice and guidance in relation to your requirements that respect your home and work life balance. You will work solely with your consultant throughout your registration journey and beyond, always having direct access to speak with them on a one-to-one basis.

Proposed start date: Immediate or February 2026

Salary: (£200 to £275 per day)
