Deputy Headteacher

Are you an education expert? We are currently seeking to represent an experienced Deputy Headteacher for a new job based in an alternative provision in Westbury, Wiltshire (BA13 3BR). If you are a SEND specialist (SEMH) who is available immediately or after May half term 2025, we would be keen to speak with you.  If you are an experienced Deputy Headteacher who has worked with SEND (SEMH) across either primary or secondary phases this role may be for you. We are currently supporting an established alternative provision based in Westbury, Wiltshire with their journey of growth. Now having an experienced Headteacher in place they are currently seeking a Deputy Headteacher on a full-time basis to add value to the team. The school predominantly offers education to pupils with SEMH from the age of 7 to 17 and currently have space for up to 16 heads. The role can be offered temporary with immediate effect, or as a permanent post from either June or September 2025. The school has been through substantial changes since the beginning of the academic year and the Headteacher is now seeking a dedicated SEND specialist to strengthen their team and really take the setting to their next step. A tour of the site and an informal meeting with the Headteacher or Regional Education Director can be arranged. This site is part of a national trust who are focussed on supporting children with complex behaviours and needs. Their pupils have experienced trauma and adverse childhood experiences, and they work closely with them to develop self-belief to become effective learners. In order to be successfully shortlisted in any of your applications with us we will require the following: A relevant UK based teaching and/or leadership qualification. Substantial experience working within a SEND education setting. All required documents for safer recruitment processing including but not limited to a valid right to work proof and a valid Enhanced DBS. Exceptional references.
