Education Development Trust is looking for an Administration Assistant to provide administrative support to our new education and skills programme in Ethiopia. The programme will strengthen the relevance and quality of secondary education to ensure the successful transition of secondary students to tertiary education or the world of work by equipping them with relevant skills, knowledge and attitude through enhanced implementation of the competency-based curriculum.
The Administration Assistant is responsible for executing administrative tasks and providing administrative support to staff and related projects in line with organisational policies and business processes. She/he ensures that the administrative systems are functioning effectively, efficiently and in a user-friendly manner in support of smooth implementation of the project office. The role is based in Addis Ababa.
The ideal person will have:
- Significant experience in an administrative role, with a strong customer focus and ideally within an NGO or development setting
- Experience of working in an office or other work environment that involves managing logistics and reports.
- Excellent oral and written English language skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
