Education Development Trust (edt) are looking for Zonal Education Officers who will be responsible for coordinating, supporting, and monitoring the implementation of the Leaders in Teaching Ethiopia (LiTE) project at cluster and school level in their specific region. The programme will strengthen the relevance and quality of secondary education to ensure the successful transition of secondary students to tertiary education or the world of work by equipping them with relevant skills, knowledge and attitude through enhanced implementation of the competency-based curriculum.
The role is responsible for ensuring high-quality delivery of teacher professional development, school leadership support, inclusion, and transition interventions across their assigned schools. The Zonal Education Officers will work closely with School Facilitators, teachers, school leaders, and local education offices to ensure programme activities align to LiTE technical standards, competency-based curriculum (CBC), and national education priorities. The role will be an important link between project design and classroom-level practice.
There are currently 12 vacancies and the role(s) are expected to cover the following regions: Borena, Guji, Illababor, Jimma, Shoa (North, East and West), Wellega East (HG), Wellega West (KW, NT), Hosana, Wolkitie and West Guji.
