Experienced Teacher or Tutor needed to provide high-level educational support and pastoral care within a private household as an in-house tutor. This unique role is for a UK based Tutor/Teacher to work with a high-profile family based in Uzbekistan including extensive international travel over a one-year period. You will be supporting a 5-year-old child with a tailored, structured academic and personal development programme, based on the UK Early Years Framework.
The young person is home schooled whilst moving around with the family and has had a previous tutor who had been teaching various subjects including Chinese Language. This role is Monday to Friday with occasional accompaniment of the child to enrichment activities at the weekend where required.
Responsibilities- Deliver one-to-one tailored tuition aligned to UK Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
- Provide pastoral care and mentorship, supporting emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and personal social development.
- Design and implement bespoke educational plans, adapting to travel schedules and international contexts.
- Identify opportunities for enrichment experiences to blend the places of travel with the provision.
- Accompany the family on international travel, maintaining consistency in education regardless of location.
- Encourage extracurricular engagement, including cultural experiences, languages, and enrichment activities.
- Qualified teacher (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent) with a strong academic background.
- Proven experience in private tutoring, residential roles, or elite education settings.
- Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum, with additional curriculum experience desirable.
- Highly adaptable, organised, and capable of working autonomously.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a nurturing, discreet, and professional approach.
- Comfortable travelling internationally for extended periods and living in a private household environment.
- Additional skills (languages, music, sports, arts) highly advantageous.
