Teacher of Mathematics will act as a link/form teacher. Participate in meetings and contribute to curriculum review and development. Maintain good order and discipline in line with policy and safeguarding procedures. Prepare pupils for public examinations and supervise them during exam periods. Support staff development schemes and performance reviews. Assist with administrative duties, including attendance recording using the C2K and SIMS systems. Provide cover for absent staff as required, following the service’s guidelines.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Teaching qualification recognised for grant‑aided schools in Northern Ireland.
  • At least 2 years’ experience teaching Key Stage 3 Mathematics and Numeracy in the last 7 years.
  • Ability to design and deliver the Mathematics and Numeracy curriculum.
  • Registered with the General Teaching Council for Northern Ireland (GTCNI) before starting the post.
  • Valid driving licence and access to suitable transport for mobility requirements.

Essential Interview Criteria:

  • Knowledge of supporting pupils with social, behavioural, emotional or wellbeing needs.
  • Ability to support a pastoral team safeguarding the wellbeing of pupils.
  • Understanding of and alignment with the nurture ethos of EOTAS.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience working with external agencies to support pupils within school.
  • Knowledge of the Code of Practice for Special Educational Needs.
  • Experience using ICT to support post‑primary learning.
  • Commitment to equality and excellence in service delivery.

Criminal Disclosure: The Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups (Northern Ireland) Order 2007 defines regulated activity. Applicants recommended for a post involving regulated activity will be required to obtain an Enhanced Disclosure Certificate, cost covered by the applicant.
