The Education Authority wish to appoint an Area Manager - Cleaning Service.

Grade/Scale: Senior Executive Officer | NJC pts 23 - 26 | £34,434 - £37,280 per annum

Job Purpose:

The overall purpose of the role is to support the Cleaning Service Locality Manager and Senior Cleaning Team in the delivery of a high-quality cleaning service which provides value for money, supports the delivery of Departmental policy and is consistent and integrated in approach across all areas of the EA.

Essential Criteria:

  • Hold an HNC/HND or above examination qualification and have one year demonstrable experience in the delivery of a multi-site cleaning or similar operational service; OR have three years demonstrable experience in the delivery of a multi-site cleaning or similar operational service.
  • Demonstrable experience of engaging a wide range of stakeholders to support the delivery of an operational service to ensure a customer-centric approach.
  • Demonstrable experience in identifying training needs and the delivery of training programmes.
  • Demonstrable experience of staff management processes.
  • Demonstrable experience in the use of computer packages, to include use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

The successful candidate will be required:

  • To have access to a suitable vehicle (appropriately maintained and insured for Education Authority business) that will enable them to carry out the mobility requirements of the post in an efficient and effective manner and thus meet this essential criterion.
