Primary School Teacher - Maternity Cover (KS2)

Location: Chippenham, Wiltshire

Salary: 180 - 230 per day

Contract Type: Part-time (Tuesday-Friday)

Start Date: Tuesday 24th February - End of Academic Year

Are you an experienced and confident primary teacher looking for a rewarding part‑time role? A welcoming and well‑supported primary school in Chippenham is seeking a dedicated KS2 Class Teacher to join their team on a maternity cover basis from after February half term. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a collaborative school community where shared planning, supportive colleagues, and a positive learning environment are at the heart of everything they do.

About the role

  • Days required: Tuesday to Friday each week
  • Class size: 25 pupils (Years 3-6)
  • SEN profile: 1 EHCP pupil, 5 pupils on SEN support
  • Planning: Shared planning across The Vine Schools; only a small number of subjects require individual planning
  • PPA: Allocated every Thursday afternoon
  • Meetings: Staff meetings typically held on Tuesdays until 4:45pm
  • Support: A Teaching Assistant is available every day except Thursday
