A specialist Alternative Provision in Worcester is seeking an experienced Physics Teacher to join their team from September. This full time, classroom based role will be delivered through our agency for the Autumn Term initially, supporting learners with additional social, emotional and behavioural needs in a highly nurturing, relationship focused environment. Due to the complexity of the setting, this position is not suitable for ECT teachers. This Alternative Provision offers a highly supportive, therapeutic environment for young people who benefit from a personalised approach to learning. Class sizes are small, behaviour is managed through strong relationships, and staff work closely to ensure every student can succeed.
About The Role:
- Deliver engaging KS3-KS4 and Foundation Level Physics lessons
- Plan, prepare and assess in line with full teaching responsibilities
- Adapt teaching to meet varied learning needs
- Build positive, consistent relationships to support behaviour and engagement
- Work collaboratively with a small, supportive team including pastoral staff
- Uphold safeguarding standards and contribute to the wider school community
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Physics at secondary level
- Confidence supporting pupils with SEMH needs
- A resilient, compassionate and adaptable teacher
