Education Assets is currently recruiting qualified Level 2 and Level 3 Early Years Practitioners to support nurseries across South Yorkshire on a temporary and flexible basis. The full job description covers all associated skills, previous experience, and any qualifications that applicants are expected to have.

We work with a range of nursery settings requiring cover for:

  • Staff holidays
  • Sickness absence
  • Emergency same-day cover
  • Increased occupancy and staffing support

This role is ideal for practitioners looking for flexible work while gaining experience across different nursery settings.

Your Role

  • Support nurseries with day-to-day staffing needs
  • Provide high-quality care and learning experiences for children aged 0-5 years
  • Deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment
  • Adapt confidently to different nursery settings
  • Follow safeguarding and nursery policies at all times

Please note: Due to emergency cover requirements, staff may be contacted from approximately 7:00am onwards for same-day bookings across South Yorkshire.

Requirements

  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (essential)
  • Previous nursery or early years experience
  • Flexible and reliable approach to work
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to travel to nursery settings across South Yorkshire
  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
