ESPA College, North Rye caters for autistic young people between the ages of 16-25 who are working towards qualifications from Entry Level to Level 2. We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and flexible individual to join the teaching team at North Rye. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with autistic learners with additional needs in education.
Responsibilities
- The successful candidate would deliver Emotional Literacy sessions that cover the Zones of Regulation and teach coping strategies to autistic students.
- Sessions will be used in preparation for adulthood, cover real life scenarios, and develop transferable skills for all students.
- The tutor should have a clear understanding of how to work with autistic students who may use emotive language and be able to navigate students in a positive way to enhance their wellbeing and mental health.
Qualifications
The successful candidate would require a PGCE/Cert Ed, or equivalent Level 5 teaching qualification.
