As the Deputy Nursery Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of childcare and education. You will work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, providing strong leadership to our team of dedicated practitioners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management: Assist the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day management of the nursery, stepping up to take full responsibility in their absence.
- Child Development & Welfare: Ensure the delivery of exceptional care and education, adhering to the EYFS framework and all relevant legislation.
- Compliance & Safety: Maintain rigorous standards of health and safety, safeguarding, and compliance with Ofsted requirements.
- Staff Development: Mentor, support, and supervise nursery staff, conducting appraisals and facilitating professional development opportunities.
- Parent Partnership: Build strong, positive relationships with parents and families, ensuring excellent communication regarding their child’s progress.
- Administration: Assist with occupancy levels, admissions, financial administration, and record-keeping.
