Somerset Education Alliance are a supply teacher employment business in its 10th year of establishment and are looking for Primary teachers to fill exciting ad hoc supply teaching opportunities in schools in and around the Radstock area.

The Job Role

Somerset Education Alliance are looking for a teacher with passion and desire to educate and guide the young minds of our future. You will be able to adapt to different environments, engage students with invigorating ideas and radiate positivity throughout school placements.

We cover day to day, short term and long-term supply, and are always on the look out for Primary teachers, secondary teachers, cover supervisors, HLTAs and teaching assistants to join our team especially around the Radstock area! Part time and full time applicants are encouraged to join!

Please note: Our daily pay rate for teachers as a supply teacher recruitment business starts at £120 but can be negotiated up to £200 based on experience, pay scale and additional responsibilities, and is ultimately at the discretion of school budgets.

Primary Teacher Responsibilities

  • Delivering cover lessons with planning included
  • Following safeguarding and school policies
  • Marking work as needed
  • Liaising with school staff

Primary Teacher Essentials

  • QTS or ECT status (applications from other teaching backgrounds also welcome)
  • A current DBS, or Update Service subscription (the agency can apply for this)
  • A 3 year minimum reference history
  • Up to date knowledge of the curriculum
