Educated Households is a higher-tier household staff agency, based in London, placing elite educated private staff with VIP & UHNW families in the Middle East and worldwide. This is a highly rewarding and well-remunerated summer position in London (U.K.). We are seeking an outstanding Residential Summer Matron to support a North London-based international family with three children (aged 11–16) in extending the routines and standards of their boarding schools during the summer holiday in 2026.

Requirements

  • Reporting to the Family Education Advisor and working closely with the House Manager, supported by domestic staff.
  • Help implement a structured daily routine focused on:
    • Discipline, manners and behaviour.
    • English-language immersion, social skills and family engagement.
    • Reducing dependency on mobile devices.

Skills Required

  • The ideal candidate will be a native speaker of English with:
  • Significant experience as a Matron, Housemistress or in a similar role.
  • Ideally holding a Master's Degree or a PhD from a prestigious institution, such as Oxford, Cambridge or Harvard University.
  • Outstanding ability in guiding, motivating and positively shaping children's behaviour.
  • Extensive experience organising home-based activities, from games to structured discussions.
  • Experience working with high-net-worth international families would be a distinct advantage.

  • Salary equivalent of up to £90,000 per annum (pro rata).
  • Provisional working schedule: 08:00–10:00 and 17:00–22:00, Monday to Friday.

  • Benefits include either free accommodation with all meals provided (if live-in), or complimentary taxi transport if residing in nearby accommodation rented by the family.
