Educated Households is a higher-tier household staff agency, based in London, placing elite educated private staff with VIP families in the Middle East and worldwide. Our prominent Clients based out in Doha, Qatar, are in need of a supremely-experienced and educated House Manager to take the lead and orchestrate the daily operations of a London property in their portfolio.

The House Manager shall report to the General Manager, will work in sync with the H.R. Manager and with any other private staff handpicked by the family. We are seeking a sophisticated House Manager, endowed with refined experience in luxury service stemming from the 5-star F&B settings that the sought-after House Manager previously worked in, deriving from high-end hospitality and serving UHNW & VVIP Principals.

This pivotal role encompasses spearheading all operations aiming at delivering the highest top-of-the-crop standards of service to the Principals and their travelling entourage, should these stakeholders be in or out of the Principals' London residence. Collaboratively working with the House Managers heading the other properties might likely be required as well.

The House Manager sought will wholeheartedly take charge of a team comprising housekeepers, a handyman and all the other household staff. The ultimate House Manager will exude natural-born authority, whilst not being domineering, in order to instill confidence in their team, prompting each and everyone of them to deliver their absolute best. With this in mind, the House Manager will resort to their soft skills, diplomacy and flair, to meticulously strategize the implementation of all the Principals' requests by smartly getting the whole team into motion to best cater to the Principals' needs.

Adhering to confidentiality is non-negotiable in this role as the Principals do value their privacy and appreciate total discretion. This is a 5-day a week role. Yet, flexibility is required when the Principals are in town and in Residence. Working as a live-in or live-out House Manager is on offer, as the role comes with accommodation provided in London, if wished (most probably an apartment yet to be confirmed by the employers). The probation period will vary from two weeks to four weeks. The salary ranges from £700.00 to £1000.00+ per week, dependent on experience and credentials. The role being held in London, only Candidates legally eligible to work in the U.K. shall apply. Please note that no visas will be provided.

Requirements

  • Experienced in diligently attending to all the needs of UHNW and VVIP Principals.
  • Experience reporting to high-powered Principals & Family Offices.
  • Serving as a point of contact within the household and for outside stakeholders.
  • Security & safety of the household members liaising with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Greeting guests.
  • Supervising the overall housekeeping of the Principals' property.
  • Property & systems management: scheduling maintenance work, accounting, budgeting.
  • Expert at negotiating contracts with vendors and contractors.
  • Managing the household staff.
  • Team building: acting as a coach, mentor and motivator.
  • Standards setting & managing the household's procedures.
  • Familiar with writing any relevant SOPs (Standards Operating Manuals) and implementing them.
  • Ensuring that all household staff are properly trained.
  • Running errands.
  • Event planning.
  • Troubleshooting.
  • Resolving issues that may arise in the household.
  • Accurate record keeping & writing reports.
  • Eligible to work in the U.K.
