Educated Households is a higher-tier household staff agency, based in London, placing elite educated private staff with VIP & UHNW families in London, in the Middle East and worldwide. Our very prominent Clients based out in Doha, Qatar, are in need of a supremely-experienced and educated Bilingual Governess to orchestrate the daily life of their 10-year-old daughter and to stand as an inspirational Companion to the little girl.

This VIP family has a stunning residence situated nearby the beach in Doha and will provide the Governess / Companion with a bedroom with ensuite, within the main residence, on a separate floor with use of the family’s swimming pool.

The Bilingual Governess / Companion sought should be endowed with emotional intelligence to deal with all the facets of the life of the little girl, when it comes to the child’s daily & social life as well as in regards to all the pedagogical matters surrounding academia. Concurrently, the little girl practices the piano and would need supervising.

The ultimate Bilingual Governess / Companion will exude natural-born authority, whilst not being domineering, in order to instill confidence in the child. With this in mind, the Bilingual Governess / Companion will resort to their soft skills, diplomacy and flair, to seamlessly get the child engaged, entertained and content. A good sense of humour as a coping mechanism would be a definite asset in this position.

This pivotal role encompasses working collaboratively as this is a fully-staffed household. The live-in Bilingual Governess / Companion will work in sync with the parents and with any other private staff handpicked by the family. This is a 6-day-a-week role. Yet, downtime will be granted to offset this schedule.

Whilst travelling (not in residence), the Governess / Companion will be expected to share a room with the little girl. Mastering one European language aside from perfectly mastering English is what the Client is after and this will be greatly advantageous to your application. Adhering to confidentiality is non-negotiable in this role as the Principals do value their privacy. The role is to start ASAP.

Requirements
  • Experience with UHNW and VVIP Principals.
  • Experience reporting to high-powered Principals & Family Offices.
  • Keeping on top of the child’s daily schedule and social affairs.
  • Supporting the child’s daily life and implementing structure.
  • All schedules should be adhered to.
  • Supporting any ad-hoc tasks.
  • Ensuring that homework is understood and fully completed.
  • Serving as a point of contact liaising with teachers and instructors.
  • Encouraging piano practice.
  • Planning playdates.
  • Being a confidence-booster to the child.
  • Providing insightful companionship to the little girl.
  • DBS.
  • Paediatric first-aid certificate.

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in this role.
  • Being bilingual & mastering the English language.
  • An eye for detail, being meticulous and highly organised.
