We run luxury health clubs and spas at high profile property projects in the UK, delivering the highest levels of customer service inside beautiful leisure facilities. We consult on development and design and supply specialist equipment. We are a flexible, agile, and fast‑growing company where good people get promoted.
Your Role:
Assistant Manager supports the Club Manager and leisure team in delivering a 5* experience for residents, guests and external contractors. The role blends operational, fitness and customer service duties; previous management and operational experience is essential.
- Support all operational aspects of the Club including quality development, customer service, organising external practitioners, treatments, personal training, maintenance and health and safety.
- Lead the Duty Manager team, driving service level performance of the club.
- Deputise for Club Manager in their absence.
- Open or close the facility, overseeing day‑to‑day running including health and safety checks, pool testing and ensuring exceptional brand standards.
- Provide first point of contact for all enquiries, delivering exemplary customer service, answering telephone calls and emails.
- Work with high net worth individuals and their management teams.
- Report faults or damage to fixtures and fittings to maintain the building.
- Liaise with housekeeping and cleaning staff to maintain safety and cleanliness standards.
- Prepare and review standard procedural documents for daily operations.
- Conduct fitness assessments, prescribe exercise programmes, instruct group exercise classes and attract interest for personal training to instruct when off shift.
Position is 40 hour per week contract. Must work a range of shift patterns including early starts, late finishes, weekdays and weekends.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Fitness qualification (minimum level 2)
- Previous management experience or key areas with enhanced responsibilities
- Two years fitness industry experience ideally in a 5‑star or luxury environment
- Swimming pool or pool plant operations experience
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel to a good standard
- RLSS NPLQ qualified or willing to undertake
- Traits of a future manager: communicator, organiser, resilient, willing to learn
