Inspire the next generation of cyber and AI professionals. The world of technology is evolving faster than ever. As artificial intelligence continues to reshape industries and cyber threats become increasingly sophisticated, the need for skilled professionals who understand how to build, protect, and secure digital systems has never been greater.

An ambitious and rapidly growing training provider is now looking to expand its team with the appointment of an AI & Cyber Security Tutor based in Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about technology and enjoys helping others learn. Whether you already have teaching experience or are a technical professional looking to move into education, this role offers the chance to make a real difference by shaping the future workforce in one of the most important areas of modern technology.

As an AI & Cyber Security Tutor, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and high-quality training to learners who are developing their knowledge of digital technologies. Working primarily from the Leeds training centre, you will teach across a range of cyber security and AI topics, helping learners understand both the theory and practical application of these rapidly evolving fields. Your teaching will be hands-on, interactive, and focused on real-world examples. You’ll help learners develop the technical understanding and critical thinking skills needed to identify risks, protect systems, and understand the opportunities and challenges created by artificial intelligence.

From explaining the fundamentals of networks and encryption to exploring the security implications of machine learning systems, your work will help learners develop skills that are increasingly in demand across the global job market. Occasionally, you’ll travel to the organisation’s Huntingdon location to support delivery and collaborate with colleagues across the wider training team.

You’ll deliver training across a range of modern cyber security and AI topics, including:

  • Cyber security fundamentals such as networks, firewalls, encryption, and the CIA triad
  • Threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response
  • Ethical hacking concepts and security testing approaches
  • Artificial intelligence and machine learning fundamentals
  • Security risks associated with AI systems and automation
  • Secure coding practices and system hardening techniques

Sessions are designed to be engaging and practical, combining demonstrations, discussions, and hands-on exercises that help learners apply their knowledge in realistic scenarios. You’ll also help ensure that learning content remains current, relevant, and aligned with industry frameworks and best practices as technology continues to evolve.

This role goes beyond delivering lessons. You’ll play an important role in supporting learners as they progress through their training and build confidence in their technical abilities.

You will:

  • Provide clear guidance, feedback, and encouragement to support learner development
  • Adapt teaching approaches to suit different learning styles and experience levels
  • Help learners understand ethical and responsible cyber security practices
  • Support learners with mentoring and pastoral guidance where required

You’ll also contribute to the wider learning experience by developing lesson plans, creating learning resources, and participating in assessment and quality assurance activities. This opportunity would suit someone who combines technical expertise with a natural ability to communicate and inspire others. You may already be working in education, or you may be a cyber security or technology professional who enjoys sharing knowledge and supporting others to learn.

We’re particularly interested in individuals who have:

  • Strong knowledge of cyber security concepts and real-world security practices
  • An understanding of artificial intelligence technologies and machine learning fundamentals
  • The ability to simplify complex technical ideas and explain them clearly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for technology and developing people

A teaching qualification is beneficial, but not essential. Support may be available for candidates who are willing to work towards a recognised teaching qualification while in the role.

You’ll be joining a forward-thinking training provider that is committed to helping individuals gain the skills needed to thrive in the modern digital economy. The organisation has built a reputation for delivering high-quality, industry-relevant training and continues to invest in new programmes that reflect the changing demands of employers.

By joining the team, you’ll benefit from:

  • The opportunity to work in a fast-growing and innovative learning environment
  • A supportive team that values collaboration and professional development
  • The chance to shape courses and learning experiences in cutting-edge technology fields
  • A role where you can have a genuine impact on learners’ futures and career opportunities

Most importantly, you’ll play a part in helping individuals gain the knowledge and confidence needed to pursue careers in cyber security, digital technology, and emerging AI industries. If you’re passionate about technology and want to help others build the skills needed for the future, this could be a fantastic opportunity to take the next step in your career.
