We are recruiting on behalf of an established and highly regarded specialist training provider that works closely with engineering and manufacturing employers to develop future talent, support workforce development and deliver high-quality technical training. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven Key Account & Employer Outreach Executive to join a supportive, forward-thinking organisation where your work will make a genuine impact.
You will play a key role in developing employer partnerships, identifying new opportunities and promoting training solutions that help businesses grow their own talent and upskill their existing teams. As Key Account & Employer Outreach Executive, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with employers across the West Yorkshire region, generating new business opportunities and supporting the continued growth of apprenticeship and commercial training provision. This is a home-based role, ideally suited to someone located within or close to West Yorkshire, with the flexibility to travel to employer sites, meetings, events and occasional internal meetings as required. You will work closely with internal sales, marketing and training colleagues to ensure employers receive a professional, responsive and consultative service.
You will be:
- Identifying and developing new employer partnerships within the engineering and manufacturing sectors
- Promoting apprenticeship, commercial training and workforce development solutions
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key employer accounts
- Understanding employer training needs and presenting tailored solutions
- Generating new business opportunities and developing a healthy sales pipeline
- Supporting cross-selling and upselling opportunities across training services
- Attending networking events, exhibitions and employer engagement activities
- Delivering professional presentations and proposals to employers and stakeholders
- Maintaining accurate records using CRM systems
- Tracking activity, pipeline progress, conversion rates and commercial performance
- Working collaboratively with internal teams to ensure a high-quality employer experience
About You
We are looking for someone who is proactive, professional and naturally confident when engaging with employers. You will enjoy building relationships, opening doors and having meaningful conversations with businesses about their training and workforce needs. You will be target-driven, organised and comfortable managing your own time in a home-based role. You will ideally have experience in a similar sales, business development, key account or employer engagement position. Experience within apprenticeships, education, training, engineering or manufacturing would be a distinct advantage.
You Will Need:
- Experience in consultative sales, business development, key account management or employer engagement
- Excellent communication skills, including face-to-face, telephone, email and written communication
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Confidence presenting to employers, stakeholders and decision-makers
- A proactive, target-driven and commercially aware approach
- Good attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records
- Competence using Microsoft Office
- GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent
- A flexible approach to working hours when business needs require it
- A commitment to equality, confidentiality, quality standards and health and safety
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
Desirable Experience
The following would be beneficial, but are not essential:
- Previous experience in the education, apprenticeships or training sector
- Experience working with engineering or manufacturing employers
- Experience using CRM systems and/or PICS software
- Experience supporting or attending external events
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Business Administration
