Educate Together Academy Trust was established in 2014 and now runs five schools across four local authorities: Bath & North East Somerset, Bristol, Swindon, and North Somerset. We are proudly aspirational, equity‑based, child‑centred, and collaborative. With a strong central team and highly capable school‑level leaders, outcomes have significantly improved across the Trust and we now seek a Director of Education who can accelerate this progress and help to shape the next phase of our development.
About the Role
You will lead the Trust’s educational strategy, driving rapid improvement and ensuring every child, especially those facing disadvantage, receives an ambitious, inclusive, high‑quality education. Working with the CEO, Headteachers, and Trustees, you will strengthen teaching, curriculum, and inclusion across all schools; use data to secure sustained improvement; and build leadership capacity through high‑quality professional development and collaboration. With strong foundations already in place, you will have the platform to accelerate outcomes and deepen the impact of our values across the Trust.

Location
The role sits within our central team, who are based in Kingswood, Bristol. Regular travel to our schools is an essential part of the role. There will be some opportunity for flexible working (in relation to location). A full driving licence and use of a car is therefore essential for this role.
Salary
The salary is in the range £93,424 to £108,202 pro rata. The actual salary range for 0.8FTE will be £74,739 to £86,561.
Pension
Local government pension scheme applies to this role.
