We are seeking highly experienced and dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants to join Joseph Clarke School on a long-term basis. This role involves providing consistent, tailored support to pupils with special educational needs, with a strong focus on visual impairment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support to pupils with SEN, ensuring access to learning and development
- Support students with visual impairments, including the use of Braille where required
- Work closely with teachers and specialist staff to deliver individualized learning plans
- Promote independence, confidence, and engagement in the classroom
- Adapt materials and resources to meet students’ sensory and learning needs
- Maintain a consistent, reliable presence to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
Essential Requirements
- Strong and proven experience working with SEN pupils (essential)

- Familiarity with Braille or willingness to learn
