Duties
- Supporting the classroom teacher deliver engaging lessons
- Support the teacher in preparing classroom materials
- Work one to one with small groups
- Supporting children with additional learning needs
- Follow school procedures and policies
- Create and maintain a positive learning environment
- Provide feedback on pupil progress
Requirements of a teaching assistant
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Minimum 3 days a week
- Previous experience working with children (school-based experience desirable)
- A relevant qualification (e. g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) - desirable but not essential
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to manage behaviour effectively
