Join our vibrant educational team as a Day-to-Day General Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will directly support the learning and development of young children. In this dynamic role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive environment that promotes curiosity, growth, and confidence. Your energy and proactive approach will help ensure each student receives personalized attention and encouragement to thrive academically and socially. You will need to be available at least 2 days a week and expect early morning calls for the same day work.

Duties

  • Provide daily lesson plans across various subjects such as literacy, math, and early childhood education.
  • Support classroom management by fostering positive behaviour and maintaining a safe, organized learning environment.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with diverse needs, including those with autism or disabilities, ensuring they stay engaged and supported.
  • Supervise children during activities, transitions, meal times, and outdoor play to promote safety and well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with students, teaching assistants, parents, and caregivers to share progress and address individual needs.
  • Support children’s social-emotional development through behaviour management strategies and nurturing interactions.

Experience

  • Prior classroom experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools.
  • Knowledge of special education practices, including working with individuals with autism or disabilities.
  • Familiarity with curriculum development for literacy education, math instruction, Montessori or preschool methodologies.
  • Experience in classroom management techniques that promote positive behaviour and engagement.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Background in working with children of various age groups including toddlers and preschoolers.
  • Understanding of childhood development principles to support individual growth trajectories.
