Educate are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic teaching assistant with knowledge of ALN and working with pupils on a 1:1 basis. We are looking for ALN Teaching Assistants to join our team to help support a Specialist Secondary School in Birkenhead. If you’re keen to use your skills in an educational setting, this role offers the opportunity to support students while building meaningful relationships, encouraging engagement, and making a positive impact on their learning journey.

Qualifications are not compulsory for this role; your personality, work ethic and life skills are more important to us, and we can offer training to work in an Additional Learning Needs (ALN) role. You will need:

What You’ll Do:

  • Engage and support students aged 11-19, helping them succeed academically and socially
  • Establish positive relationships with both students and staff
  • Provide consistent support at the same school, eliminating the uncertainty of different assignments
  • Potential for a full-time contract with the school in the future

  • Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Dyslexia
  • Dyspraxia
  • Multi-Sensory Impairment (MSI)
  • Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
  • Profound and Moderate Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
  • Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
  • Severe Learning Difficulties
  • Physical Disabilities (PD)
